BACON & BLEU BURGER
on Savor Crafted™ Roasted Potato Sprouted Wheat Bun
Makes 4 Sandwiches

INGREDIENTS:

4- 8oz. ground beef or ground chuck patties
-
8 slices of Applewood smoked bacon
-
½ cup fig jam, divided
-
2 ounces of crumbled bleu cheese
-
4 medium size leaves of bib lettuce
-
4 Savor Crafted Sprouted™ Wheat with Roasted Potato Buns
INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat your grill to medium

While the grill is pre-heating, cook bacon in a large saute’ pan until golden brown and crisped, about 4 minutes on each side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

Season and grill the beef patties until cooked to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F.

Just before you pull off the beef patties from the grill, place the crumble bleu cheese on top of all 4 patties’.

While the bleu cheese is melting, slice the buns and toast them briefly on the grill.

Once the cheese has started to melt, pull the buns and patties off the grill.

To assemble the sandwich: place one slice of lettuce on the bottom of each bun. Place beef patty on top of the lettuce. Top each hamburger with 2 slices of bacon and spread the fig jam on the top bun. Enjoy immediately!!
